Samuel is a mysterious companion of Dr. Rudolph Van Richten from Darkon. He is a loner, counting the doctor as the closest thing to a friend that he can make. He has lost much at the hands of a powerful wizard who could command the undead, and lives what remains of his life to rid the world of such creatures. He sees little difference between magic used for good and for evil and hates magic users of any kind.

Just as he was beginning to warm up to Leif, Kerri, Ludovic, and Duffy a bit, he suddenly left them in Port-a-lucine to find Dr. Van Richten, and was last seen heading toward Mordentshire.

Weapons of Choice:
The Hawthorne Staff (A powerful magic staff when used against the undead, but thorns and vines sprout from it that drain the strength of its weilder.)
